How it works

No self-service. A school is not an account.

We set up the school together with you, you invite the teachers, and the pupils come from a file. It takes a week, most of which is waiting for people to click a link.

The steps

  1. 01 · Day 1

    The school is set up

You write to us. We set up the school with its name, time zone and grades, and make the first administrator an administrator. The data processing agreement is signed at the same time.

  2. 02 · Days 1–3

    The teachers are invited

The administrator enters a name, an email address and a role; the teacher gets a link, creates their access and confirms their email with a code. Two-factor is set up inside Lerlo – with an app or a key.

Classes and pupils from a file

A CSV from the pupil administration system, or Excel. Lerlo guesses the columns, shows every row – new, updated, unchanged, unclear – and saves only once you approve. Classes that are missing are created along the way.

04 · Days 3–5

Teachers are put on classes

Who teaches what in which class, and who is the class teacher. That governs what each teacher sees: the classes, the results, the seating plan.

05 · Week 1

The teachers get going

Seating plans, lessons and the first quiz. Most need no introduction; we are happy to do half an hour online for those who want it.

06 · Every year

The change of school year

In June the administrator prepares next year as a draft. After the last day of school, you press the button. Everyone moves up; the history stays.

Who does what

Two roles in the school. One person can have both.

Administrator

Typically the leadership or the office. Sets up the school: users, classes, pupils, subjects and school years. Sees all classes and all notes. Looks after data protection: retention, exports, the agreement.

  • Invites and removes staff, helps with profile pictures and two-factor
  • Imports pupils, creates classes, teams and electives
  • Prepares and carries out the change of school year

Teacher

Sees their own classes, and all of the school's teachers and classes under “The school”. Teaches, makes seating plans, runs activities, writes notes. The class teacher changes the seating plan; the subject teachers see it.

  • Their own material under Mit materiale (the teacher's own material): files and activities
  • Results in the subjects the teacher teaches the pupil
  • Preferences: language, light or dark theme, email, password, two-factor

Pupils have no role and no login. They exist as names in a class and take part in activities with a code.

What we need from you

Three things, and you are up and running.

  • The school's details: name, institution number, address, CVR number and the first administrator's name and email address.
  • A signature on the data processing agreement – the school or the municipality is the data controller, Nullbase is the data processor.
  • A file with the pupils, when you are ready: first name, last name, class and, ideally, date of birth. We help with the export from your pupil administration system.
